There is another fuse you will want to check that is in the power distribution box. It is a fuse for the center high mount stop light (CHMSL). The diagram on the lid of the cover will show the fuse location. WebThe fuse block is located at the driver’s end of the instrument panel. Remove the cover by turning the fastener counterclockwise. I do know that because of the canbus, if you hook up an LED light straight to it, there is a flicker that is noticeable on headlights, but don't now if it is visible on CHMSL or not.

The "shelf" is the gray fuzzy flat thing it's sitting on. There are 4 hooks holding the assembly onto the shelf-- 3 on the shiny side (facing outward), 1 on the dull side (facing you).
